Legacy Automation provide expert fiber optic and cable system tests to maintain functionality and reliability of your systems. Every test is supported with the necessary documentation which will be provided in a format based on your needs.
Professional testing is critical to fiber optics , especially in the communications and heavy industries. We test each individual component integrity and assure a clean, direct path between all devices to ensure your systems work at optimum speeds and efficiencies.
Making use of the CertiFiber Pro merges Tier 1 & 2 testing and reporting. This has quad modules which supports singlemode and multimode encircle flux compliant. Modules support copper certification, fiber optical loss, OTDR testing and fiber end-face inspection. Built in Visual loss testing.
Since dirt can be an issue before, or during and after fiber optic certification testing, and migrate from one optic connector end-face to another upon mating, both sides of any connection must always be cleaned and inspected. Further, mating contaminated fiber optic connections can cause permanent damage as microscopic debris is crushing between end-faces in physical contact. We also make use of the FI-7000 FiberInspector Pro to inspect and certify optic connector end-faces. This will certify your fiber end-faces to industry standards – IEC 61300-3-35.

Service & Repairs
Power savings has become essential in industrial and domestic environments which is why Legacy Automation has come up with many alternatives to the standard, off the shelf emergency and backup equipment. Our team will design, install and service LED lighting as well as utilize our own CSA approved inverter to power several work lights. This unique and innovative inverter is compact which makes it easy to carry and bring where needed. Other powerful services include: custom generators (5 to 9kW) and power conversions (DC to AC and AC to DC).

We are capable of welding with various metals such as carbon steel, stainless steel, titanium and aluminum. We specialize in pipe, structural, and maintenance welding as well as fabrication, pipe fitting and mill writing.
Whether it be erecting welded structures such as walkways, railings or overhead beams, our team of welders will get the job done safely, efficiently and correctly the first time. Our highly skilled team is fully certified and possess the ability to not only read blueprints but translate them into working products and solutions for our customers.
Successful welding is only as good as the equipment and quality of weld provided. That is why Legacy Automation maintains high levels of quality for each project – from beginning to end. Chrome buildup, frame repair, part replacements and rebuilding flange faces are just a few of the important aspects of maintenance welding here at Legacy Automation. All our welders and pipe fitters are fully certified and experienced to operate heavy duty machinery to move, install or repair equipment on site.
Each project comes with its own challenges, often times new and unexpected. Legacy Automation maintains a high level of requirements in our staff and that is why we value a wide range of skill sets for a welder – not just welding but pipe fitting as well. Our team will remove and replace valves, pipe spools as well as rotating pipe spools for wear. Blueprints are typically provided for each project however our team will measure and document the work being done to ensure proper fit for each installation. Other tasks including setup for welders, disassemble valves, moving pipe spools and installation.
Custom parts are often required on the job site and with very little notice. That is why our team of welders are proficient in fabrication. Common fabrication includes pipe stands, railings, walkways, and frames. Our team will rebuild parts including buckets and machines of all sizes.
Our facility incorporates a complete simulation environment including both software and hardware environments. Simulating different environments allows for careful testing which is integral to the success of your systems and essential to save you both time and resources.
Legacy Automation Inc. has a full simulation package in place to do strenuous and complete testing on all our software coding and project work for Factory Acceptance Testing and Customer Acceptance Testing. Running a variety of PLC software and emulators along with graphics allows us to do methodical systems testing before commissioning is done on site. We strive to offer tremendous customer satisfaction by enabling them to review the entire process system including the programming, graphics and control narratives.
Our large hardware staging area is where we create a mock installation of your systems. Cabinets are connected for comprehensive testing and pre-setup of communications before getting to site and all pressures, temperatures, flows controls of any device will appear as though the full plant is running. Every system is tested locally and a complete system integration test carried out prior to installation on site.
